AJ is going swimming...

Well, I couldn't pass the opportunity to show off Jessie's new Paint Shop Pro skills AND my second grandson, AJ, at the same time!

AJ is growing like a weed and is super energetic.  Aren't they all!

He's super fun to play with.

In this pic, he's all suited up for swimming and is ready to take a few runs on the slip n side.

Lots of love,

Kari

Looking back at our first Christmas together...

Looking back always makes me smile...

Here is Julee on our first Christmas together.

She is 11 years old and loving her new puppy...

Christmas is all about those smiles - and all the love you share with your family.

Isn't it wonderful?

With much love,

Kari's Been Crocheting!

Well, everyone needs a hobby, right?

I love to make things... I'm addicted to color... and I am hopelessly in love with wool, yarn, threads, beads, and numerous other gadgets and baubles.

I also like dolls and dollhouses, sewing, playing with paint, digi scrapping, and coloring with pencils and gel pens.

Lately, I've been on a crochet kick!

It started with an afghan for my newest Grandson - Johnie Blaze.

Then, I made a big Bernatt blanket for my sister's birthday.  I think I mentioned that she is very patriotic.

I have started a new Bernatt blanket for my nephew, Benjamin.

I needed a little break from the blankets, so I made some water balloons for the kids.

And I just finished my first beach bag!

It's going to come in handy in a few weeks while I am in Michigan.

I will take Ben's blankie with me and work on it while I am on vacation!

And that's what I have been doing this year with crochet.

It's almost time for me to switch it up and start on my miniatures!

Whatever it is that you love doing, make sure you actually do it!

It's very easy to get caught up in social media and get addicted to your electronics - BUT it is very nice to sit down and make a little something with your hands that you can be proud of.

Happy Crafting!

With all my love...

Christian... The hunk a chunk baby!

Christian was such a cute little hunk a chunk!

He ALWAYS has a smile for the camera and now that he's 5, he likes to dance and sing when the camera is out!

This year, he played T-ball and is getting ready for Kindergarten.

Those teachers are going to have their hands full!

This year Gramma is taking him to Michigan to meet his Great Grandparents for the first time.

So Exciting!

Time for a Summer Memory - Fishing with Johnie

What happened when the girls went fishing with Johnie?

Well, Johnie's excuse was that he was too busy putting worms on the girl's hooks...

But really, this always happens when he took girls fishing - he called it "getting skunked".

And he loved every minute of it!

Here is Jessie with her beautiful little fish caught on a Disney Princess pole.

And here is Julee's!

The girls had a blast, but Jessie was the only one that would really touch a fish.

Julee didn't want to have that fishy slime all over her fingers!

Mom read a book on a blanket the whole time and laughed every time the girls caught a fish.

They were sure to tell all of Johnie's friends about how they "skunked" him at Uncle Rollie's pond.

Happy summer memories are the best!

Welcome to the Lazyacres Family Blog!

My sister, Cindy, is our family historian and constantly digs through piles of paper to find the true path to our roots.  That's not my thing - that sounds like HARD work - so just like when we were kids, I will leave that to her LOL.

Nope, my thing is going to be more recent, during our lifetime...

I've always wanted to keep a Diary of sorts, and I have one for my inner most secrets.  You know me...  That will not be shared here - EVER.

But for happy memories, I'd like to start sharing family memories, pictures, stories, little successes, and epic failures here on our blog.

So - if you want to share, send me an email at karella1o22@gmail.com with pictures you would like to share for our family memories along with a little blurb and I will start posting them up for the family to see.

For my family!

Because we are starting to spread out too far and we need a way to stay in touch!

Because I love each and every one of you!
